Indianapolis area free non-profit credit counseling agencies.

Programs available in Indianapolis Marion and surrounding counties from credit counseling agencies can help with paying debts as well as other unpaid bills. Various non-profit organizations administer a number of free services, debt relief programs and resources for individuals and families who need help. Find assistance with car loans, credit card bills, medical debt, personal loans and more. There are many resources in the Marion County area for getting out of debt.

The services that many of the organizations offer can be fairly extensive. Counselors and specialists are dedicated to helping consumers deal with their financial hardship, and they offer individuals the lowest price possible on any of their advice or services provided. Some of their debt reduction and foreclosure prevention programs may even be offered for free. Services available to Indianapolis residents include pre-bankruptcy filing counseling, Debt Management Plans, negotiation, foreclosure counseling, credit card consolidation programs, and mediation.

While many of the centers offer debt relief programs, housing solutions, and are also Housing and Urban Development certified, if a non-profit can’t meet your needs they can often refer people to other locations to call in Vanderburgh, Marion or Elkhart County Indiana.

In most cases, the initial consultation is free. There are debt relief programs for credit card bills as well.

If it is decided to be your best option, then clients of these non-profit credit counseling agencies may choose to enter into a debt management program. A DMP is when specialists from the organization acts on the clients' behalf to establish an acceptable repayment plan on your unsecured debts and loans. They will work with all of your creditors, including doctors, credit card companies, and medical providers.

You can set up these sessions over the phone or in person.
