Alabama, and Madison County, is supported by a number of free food pantries, soup kitchens and locations that provide assistance to those in need. While each center will have its own conditions that need to be met, in general there will be very limited, or even no eligibility restrictions or documentation requirements. Most of the food programs near you in Huntsville and Madison County are available to anyone who needs some short term assistance, and they can help people save money on their monthly grocery bills. There is also a phone number at the bottom of the page for more locations.

Most of the food pantries focus on families in emergency situations, the elderly, disabled, and low income or jobless families with young children. Some centers may also offer additional aid, such as clothing assistance or limited financial help for paying bills.
