Guilford County free Christmas assistance.

The main programs in Guilford County that provide assistance during the Christmas season include Angel Tree, Toys for Tots, and Adopt-A-Family. Children from low income families and those living in poverty can be given free toys or clothing, and the entire family can be provided food to make a holiday meal. More information on the resources are below.

In addition, some of these same charities will help less fortunate families during Thanksgiving or other key dates. They may not only provide financial aid, but also deliver a holiday meal to a senior citizen or disabled resident in Greensboro. Staff from the charities can provide more information on what months the Christmas or Thanksgiving programs operate, and how to apply.

Using donations of new or gently used toys from the greater Guilford County community, hundreds of households are normally supported during Christmas. Those that don't qualify may be provided referrals.
