Free clothing closets, furniture, and school supplies Orange County California.

Centers across Orange County California provide free or affordable items, including clothing, personal hygiene items, back to school supplies, clothes, furniture, and more to families as well as the general public. While some individuals may be able to receive vouchers or free goods from the clothing closets, others may be able to purchase new or gently used items at a reduced price from the centers or public thrift stores.

The specific programs offered by each center will vary based on available resources, donations, and funding. Many of the Orange County clothing closets and thrift stores will also offer seasonal programs or pass out free stuff. The furniture banks provide furniture, appliances, computers and other goods.

The most common resources offered from the clothing centers will be free basic clothes for kids or adults. But there are also back to school supply programs and items such as uniforms or backpacks for children and students. There may also be birthday toys or household supplies as well as free clothes to help immigrants settle in southern California. Some locations will also direct people to employment or job training programs, as well as provide free work attire for interviews.

While not as common, centers across southern California and Orange County may offer limited amounts of financial assistance and social services. This can include assistance such as bus passes, free gasoline vouchers, or maybe funds for paying rent or electric bills. This can be combined with other free stuff such as clothes for a job interview. Other locations in Orange County have referrals to various savings programs that can be used for discounts on clothes and basic needs. As an example, locate money saving tools and smartphone apps.
