Duval County free holiday and Christmas assistance programs.

Free Christmas toys, food baskets, meals, and presents are passed out across Duval County during the holiday season. There are usually thousands of children from low income or working poor households that are able to get help each year from Toys for Tots, the Salvation Army Angel Tree programs, as well as charitable Adopt a Family services. Whether a Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas food basket, or free Christmas presents or gift cards, help is offered in the Jacksonville Florida area.

Each charity has restrictions in place. Some only focus on year-round clients of the non-profit. Other support seniors by maybe bringing them a free Christmas or Thanksgiving meal. All of them do rely on donations from the community though, so if a family is seeking a toy or some sort of gift for their child, there are no promises to receiving assistance. It is always recommended to apply early to one of these Jacksonville area non-profits in order to have the opportunity to receive help at the holidays.
