Short term, transitional Housing may be offered for those who previously used the Morning Star Sanctuary Emergency Shelter. Stay for up to one year while attending case management and budgeting sessions. Also work toward permanent housing and get information on how to pay the rent for it. The goal is to help women or asylum seekers in Davidson County that were facing abuse get transitional housing.

Low income, safe supportive housing is offered to the low income and families facing eviction. Other services offered include job placement assistance, life skills training, financial literacy classes, and housing location services. Salvation Army of Davidson County

While there are a few centers in the county, this is the main one for a homeless shelter and transitional housing services. More long term shelter can be provided to homeless women and families. Those using the resources need to attend case management and create a plan for self-sufficiency and to increase your income.
