An adopt a family program operates at Christmas. Generous members of the community “Adopt” a local Collin County family or senior citizen. They buy food, gifts, and more for them. There may be shoes, clothes, games or books for kids, gift certificates and other holiday help. Immigrants and the working poor can apply too, with services in Spanish too.

Vietnam Veterans Foundation of Texas

Non-profits partner with the United States Marine Corps Reserve in northern Texas to offer this service. Parents need to apply at a local social service center or online. There may be unwrapped toys for a boy or girl, and Christmas goods for infants or teenagers too.
