Boise area free holiday and Christmas assistance programs.
The Boise Idaho area and surrounding counties are supported by a number of holiday assistance programs, including Angel Tree, Toys for Tots, and Adopt a Family. Many volunteers help run these services. They will collect and give out free toys, games, gift cards, and other items so children have a Christmas present to open. There are also resources that may provide a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal.
The charities operate in many communities, including Ada, Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai, Shoshone, and Canyon County. As donations allow, they will provide free gifts to children from less fortunate families. Senior citizens and the home-bound may also apply for assistance such as a home delivered Christmas or Thanksgiving meal.
