Birmingham area free Christmas assistance programs.

Several organization in Birmingham provide Christmas and holiday programs. The charities will focus their resources on children from low income families as well as senior citizens. Using donations from the greater Jefferson County Alabama community, the agencies may have hot meals, toys, and other items such as clothing.

While there are several churches and organizations to try for help, most of the Christmas assistance is provided by the Salvation Army and YMCA. These agencies offer programs such as Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, and others. They operate by collecting toys and items from the community, and then provide these for free to children and teenagers, among others.

The goal is to always help residents experience the holidays. So they try to do their best, whether that is offer a free meal or food basket, or provide presents to children. Please donate or volunteer to the charities if possible.
