Arkansas holiday and free Christmas assistance resources.

Children and senior citizens in Arkansas are the main recipients of the holiday programs available, which include Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, as well as free Christmas or Thanksgiving meals. Using donations from the community, thousands of low income families will usually benefit from some type of Christmas or Thanksgiving assistance every year, including they get help from free Christmas present and gift programs. Hundreds of others may receive a free meal at Easter or Thanksgiving.

The programs are very local, and the agencies and churches listed below will focus just on the immediate area. There are other resources that operate across the entire state of Arkansas. Examples of what may be provided will be food items for a family to prepare their own meal. Or there can be gift baskets with Turkeys and other perishable goods.

An effort will also be made to ensure every child has some type of holiday present to open, so there may be gifts, toys, games, and books for the infant when donations allow. Examples of the programs that can make that happen may be Adopt a Family or local Angel Trees.

The application period will usually start in September, October, or thereabouts. All resources available around Christmas are limited, and meals and toys are usually provided first come and served.
