Virginia free dental clinics.

Dental clinics in Virginia can provide low-income or uninsured patients access to either free or low cost care. Many of the centers across the state offer services on a sliding fee scale, so patients pay only what they can afford to towards their bills - or the care is free. Most of the free clinics offer basic cleanings, extractions of teeth, fluoride treatments, free emergency oral surgeries and similar services. Get information below on the types of assistance offered. A referral number is at the bottom of this page for information on other free dental clinics in Virginia that may be near you

The focus is on helping low income families, children, the elderly, and people with no insurance. If their income is low enough or they lack health insurance then the care may be provided at a very minimal or no cost by the dentist. There may also be additional help for senior citizens on Medicare who need free dental services as well as help for low income families on Medicaid as well as veterans. Find free federal government Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or Rural Health Clinics for the low income and uninsured below.

Some locations patients will need to call to get additional details on costs. However, the fact is that most of the sliding-fee clinics and free dental centers as well as colleges in Virginia will not turn anyone away, and the dentists and staff do their best to offer preventative as well as emergency dental assistance.

A number of other clinics and centers may provide dental services as noted below, including in Fairfax County.
