Free holiday and Christmas assistance Ventura County

Find charities and churches that offer free holiday assistance, with a focus on Christmas programs, to struggling Ventura County families. Thanksgiving and Christmas meals may be available for immigrants, families in poverty or that are facing a hardship, and the homeless.  Migrant workers can also get free Xmas gifts for their kids.

This agency may help people and students in the immediate Oxnard area. Clients can get information on Christmas resources and other case management. Working with schools, charities, and businesses, there may be information on local holiday programs. They only support this part of the county.

 

 

 

Salvation Army Centers
Basic needs, such as food, can be combined with holiday meal baskets. Angel Tree and Adopt a family can also give presents to the less fortunate. There may be arts and crafts, video games, sneakers and other free Christmas gifts for kids, infants, and teens among others. Free Toys for Tots program of Ventura County
This is a donation services that also helps children under the age of 14. There will be free Christmas toys, games, books, clothes, electronics, Legos, Matchbox cars, and more. The goal of the USMC Toys for Tots program in Ventura is to ensure each child, whether immigrants, Spanish speakers, or natives, have a present to open Christmas morning. Application sites are below. A multifaceted social service agency in Ventura County.

They allow low income and/or struggling parents to “shop” for the Christmas presents their children may want. It is a free shop. Get clothes, games, books, electronics, shoes, toy dolls or trucks, video games, and may other Christmas gifts.

Whether help is needed at Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter, referrals are given from that United Way number. Learn about Adopt a Family programs, meal sites, or toy giveaway programs. Income qualified applications may be give gift cards to retailers such as Wal-Mart or Target, books, toys, gently used clothes, and more at Christmas. This depends on donations and the work of volunteers in Ventura County meeting the Wish List.

  • Referrals and applications can be given to holiday programs from the Ventura County Sheriff. Many of the locations collect unwrapped presents from the community as part of the Share-iffs Toy Drive program. The local stations then provide gifts, such as games, books, dolls, and the like to infants and children. The Sheriff's want children to have a present to open Christmas morning.
