Trenton and Mercer County New Jersey free food pantries.

Food pantries and soup kitchens serve the less fortunate across Mercer County. The distribution centers are mostly operated by charities or churches, however some government agencies can also ensure that low income families receive some form of free food, groceries or hot meals. Clients include seniors, the disabled, and children from the greater Trenton area. The centers can be turned to when a family is faced with a crisis. Each location is open limited hours and will try to not turn anyone away. So boxes of food passed out from a pantry may have non-perishable groceries, fruits, vegetables, or even items such as baby formula or diapers. Other food pantries or soup kitchens in Mercer County will also serve hot meals, including at Christmas and Thanksgiving.
