While the focus of Catholic Charities is on providing support to prevent future emergencies from occurring, the agency will also have some short term financial assistance, food, and other services for those in the midst of a crisis. The Toledo Catholic Charity center covers a wide region, including the counties of Lucas, Richland, Sandusky, and other areas. Case managers will teach the skills needed to manage the crisis, and help people apply for aid.
The H.O.P.E. Pantry offers food. Catholic Charities and its partner churches and non-profits distribute thousands of pounds of food needy families and individuals every month.
