Tarrant County free holiday and Christmas assistance programs.

Most of the non-profit agencies that provide free holiday and Christmas assistance, including free gifts or meals, are located in Tarrant County, however they may also help qualified families in nearby Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, and Wise County. There are programs including toys for Tots as well as Angel Tree, among others. Or at the minimum an organization may have referrals for people in those nearby regions so they can get free toys, gifts, and more. There are also free groceries and food baskets (along with turkey dinners) at Thanksgiving.

The exact type of goods provided around Thanksgiving or Christmas can include free toys, gift cards or clothing for children, meals and food for anyone in need that qualifies. Some centers will hold holiday events as well, in which participants can get a gift basket or a hot meal. Many volunteers will also deliver food and support to the elderly or homebound in the Tarrant County region, including those that reside in nursing homes.
