Spartanburg County food banks.

Food pantries operate in the greater Spartanburg area, though some of the non-profits will also cross over to nearby counties in an effort to help struggling families. The hours of each center will vary as will the terms and conditions of their programs. Based on donation levels as well as the number of volunteers, everything from free hot meals to groceries and surplus USDA commodities may be available.

The regional food banks also try to offer seasonal services as well. This means when a student is out of school during the summer, then they may receive a free snack from a Spartanburg County pantry. Or clients can get applications to SNAP food stamps or maybe receive a free Christmas meal or gift. Some will even offer financial aid.
