The centers focus on meeting the needs of families facing a hardship and those that meet low income levels. Regardless of your age, religion, or circumstances, the locations, both free furniture banks and clothes closets, will do what they can to provide those that qualify with assistance in meeting their basic needs.
There are locations across Dubois, Greene, Gibson, Knox, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick County Indiana. Whether it is free winter attire, school or work uniforms, coupons for shopping, beds for furniture for a home, other other stuff assistance is available. While some centers may be right in your town, other locations may not be as convenient but they may offer referrals to other local clothing banks.
The request for help tends to increase during the winter and holiday months. Some of what may be passed out includes free winter coats, household appliances such as a heating unit or AC to cool a house, school supplies, and even toys at Christmas.
