Serve Wenatchee Valley assistance programs.
Churches, ministries, and charities partner with Serve Wenatchee Valley to provide support to the less fortunate and poor in the area. Basic needs such as food, housing/rent, clothing, and utilities are a focus, but funding levels are limited. A number of other programs and resources are available for families across Wenatchee Valley Washington.
The charity, its volunteers, and churches work together to improve and transform the valley. Volunteers, pastors, ministries and churches work together to assist the needy, regardless of their culture or background. The charity strongly believes that no one person, individual or family working in isolation can effectively minister and address the social needs of the area, so that is why they combine resources.
Basic needs are addressed, and a wide range of services are available from Serve Wenatchee Valley.
- Back to School Clothing Giveaway during the late summer months may have free supplies, clothing notebooks, and uniforms.
- Holiday programs, such as Thanksgiving Baskets of Blessings.
- Food, groceries, and formula and diapers.
- Financial aid is limited, but Serve Wenatchee Valley tries to coordinate help for rent, water bills, and other utilities.
- A Free Furniture Ministry is available.
- Some Christmas and Easter “Baskets of Blessings” food giveaways may occur too.
Those needs for free food, gently used clothing, furniture, rent, utilities and more will be addressed through the Love Inc. referral model. They help churches help people and in effect help themselves. If needed, receive referrals to local churches and other non-profit community organizations to meet
physical and spiritual needs. See below for a listing.
The charity is dedicated to assisting people in need, including seniors, the unemployed, and poor. They offer prayerful, compassionate and non-judgmental atmosphere in the centers. There are also special worship services and need-based events held on a recurring basis.
