Free school supply assistance programs San Francisco County.

Find San Francisco area charities and government agencies that give away from school supplies. Students from low-income households, in all grades, can get the items, including backpacks, clothes, Chromebooks, books and more as part of the back to school events. Children can often get hygiene items, including haircuts, personal toiletries and more. Note the list is just a sampling, and find other free San Francisco County clothing closets.

The free back to school supply programs in San Francisco County rely on donations and volunteers. What may be offered includes some or all of the following. Get notebooks, pens, pencils, book bags or backpacks, sneakers, calculators, binders, crayons and more. Some students may be given free laptops, computers, or Chromebooks as well for at home schooling.

Clothes or free school uniforms for students from Kindergarten to high school may be offered for the school year too. Apply early, as most of the charities and giveaways of school supplies happen during the summer or fall.

The charity works with tech companies, corporations and businesses, such as TJMaxx, Twitter, Target and others to give free school supplies. Low-income, unemployed or struggling parents can get tablets, backpacks, shoes, gift certificated and many items. Also find food, deodorant, books and many other items for students.
