San Bernardino free food banks, coup kitchens and food pantries.

Get a listing of San Bernardino County area food banks, soup kitchens as well as emergency free food pantries near you. Also find information on churches, non-profits and other local charities that provide free food, groceries, personal hygiene or household supplies as well as other forms of assistance. Dozens of organizations help thousands of families every single month with their basic needs, including free groceries, baby formula, holiday meals and more.

The various pantries and food banks encourage potential clients to stop by or call early. Resources are limited, and most pantries operate on a first come and served basis. This means that residents, including the low income, migrant workers, or unemployed should stop by early and on time in order to get free food or other forms of support. There is also a phone number at the bottom of the page for referrals.

Some locations may, in addition to free groceries and perishable items, be able to provide clothing, advice, and/or limited forms of financial assistance to pay bills, rent, or other expenses. Many of the food pantries and charities in the San Bernardino County area are also great places to learn about government programs such as TANF, emergency food assistance, CalFresh and housing resources. They may also have free holiday meals (Easter, Thanksgiving or Christmas), information on government commodity programs including school breakfast/lunch, and other benefits.

If you need free food for you or your family, information on Meals on Wheels or other help, please call or stop by a pantry or soup kitchen in the area for support. Counselors and other volunteers and professionals are on site, ready and willing to help as well as direct clients to the appropriate assistance programs.
