In addition, eligible people must participate in the weatherization service.

Saint Vincent trains volunteers to work there to help the less fortunate. More people are always needed to volunteer as well. As far as the money to pay for this service, the non-profit relies on local donations as well as government grants.

The homeless that use the Center can also learn about, and apply for, other care. They can determine whether welfare can help them with their bills or housing needs, and there are employment resources on site as well (such as a computer lab). The approach used at the shelter is to coordinate both short and long term support for clients.
