Free holiday help in Richmond and Columbia County.

Assistance is available at both Christmas as well as Thanksgiving. Hundreds of families in the Columbia as well as Richmond County Georgia region apply for help each year. Based on donations, the Christmas Clearinghouses will pass out holiday food baskets, free toys for children, and even a tree for the home.

The charities will only help people in the town or city near them. Households can't apply to a location that is not in their county. If there are no toys left to pass out to the needy, or if the agency has a long waiting list in place, volunteers will refer the applicant to another local holiday assistance program. The goal is to help as many Richmond County area families as possible. More details on the services as well as application sites in the area are below.
