Rent help in Pasco County.

Low income residents of Pasco County Florida may be able to receive emergency rental assistance. Programs tend to be available for families who are faced with an eviction and who meet established lower income guidelines. Priority will be given to tenants that are faced with an unexpected hardship that may result in an imminent eviction. Additional rent help is offered for seniors and the disabled also take priority. The focus is on residents who are faced with an unexpected crisis that is not of their doing.

A number of qualifications need to be met by applicants, and the Pasco County organizations do have limited funding. In general, applicants need to meet both income and asset requirements, there must be a financial hardship (examples include medical expenses, prescriptions, car repairs, home repairs, etc.) or a loss or reduction of income. All rental and housing assistance services are contingent upon available funds.

Some of the non-profit agencies may be able to offer assistance to move into an apartment/home as well. This can include money to pay security deposits or first and last or last month’s rent, whichever is applicable.
