Phoenix and Maricopa County free Christmas and holiday assistance.

Several charities and non-profits in the Phoenix Arizona region can provide free Christmas items to low income families. Children can receive free gifts, Christmas toys, clothing, games, books, and maybe even gift certificates to use to shop. Parents and the entire family may also be able to receive a free hot meal or food items. The charities and organizations that run these holiday programs do their best to ensure that no family goes without during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

Dozens of organizations operate across Maricopa County. They depend on donations from local businesses and individuals from across the region. Everything that someone does contribute to one of these programs will go directly to assisting low income families, and in particular children, immigrants or even senior citizens as well as the homebound. Your contribution can help ensure that children and the youth of Maricopa County have some type of present to open. Some of what may be distributed at the charities includes toys, clothing such as coats or shoes, games, dolls, books, and other gift items. Find more at United Way local Christmas help.

The sites and distributions centers often require volunteers as well. People are needed to help prepare and serve meals, pack boxes of food, or even wrap gifts. So please volunteer or donate if you can. The demand is very high for help around the holidays. Your time and generosity can help provide assistance to the less fortunate at Christmas.
