Free Christmas and holiday assistance in Phoenix and Maricopa County.

Find charities and churches in the Phoenix Arizona region that give low-income families free Christmas toys, gifts, meals from programs including the Angel Tree and Toys for Tots. There are also Thanksgiving turkey dinners in the Maricopa County area and charities that operate Adopt a Family programs. Kids are a focus. Children can receive free gifts, Christmas toys, dolls, clothing, games, books, Legos, and maybe even gift certificates to use to shop. Parents and the entire Maricopa County family may also be able to receive a free hot meal or food items, at Easter, Thanksgiving or Christmas. The charities and organizations that run these holiday programs do their best to ensure that no family goes without during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

Dozens of organizations operate across Maricopa County. They depend on donations from local businesses and individuals from across the region. Everything that someone does contribute to one of these programs will go directly to assisting low income families, and in particular children, immigrants or even senior citizens as well as the homebound.

Places for free Christmas gifts in Maricopa County

At that time any applicants will be matched with generous donors who provide free gifts, toys, meals and food baskets. The agency will also partner with The Salvation Army of Maricopa County to assist as many people as possible.

 

 

 

Arizona Helping Hands Crisis Toy Distribution

The agency gives free toys to first responders to give to children that are facing a crisis situation. The organization also is heavily involved in distributing gifts, games and other toys to children that need assistance. Programs are for Spanish speakers and immigrants as well.

East Mesa Food Bank

Many resources are offered. Among them, it offers free Christmas gifts for children in the East Valley or Maricopa County region. Hot meals, gift baskets, and other items are passed out too.

Foothills Food Bank

Toys for Tots Foundation of Maricopa County
This program partners with many other non-profits across Maricopa County Arizona. Together they ensure free Christmas gifts, clothes, toys, and other stuff is provided to children. Some of the distributions sites and locations are below. Toys for Tots provides free toys for the holidays to children and infants from low income and working poor families, and kids from age 0 to 15 can get help. Crossroads Nogales Mission Holiday Meals

Free holiday meals are served throughout the year. It includes Eater, Valentines Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving meals. Some of what may be served are Turkeys, Ham, and all of the sides. Also provides holiday groceries and food boxes for struggling families.

The Salvation Army
Several regional corp centers offer free grocery store gift certificates, hot meals and toys for families with children age 12 and younger. Many senior citizens and the very low income can also receive help and companionship during the Christmas season. Many volunteers can also offer free Thanksgiving and Christmas turkey meals to the elderly in need in congregate settings and through home delivery.
