Free clothing closets, furniture and back to school supplies in Oklahoma City and County.

Find free clothes, furniture and personal or household stuff including school supplies as well as household items from clothing closets and/or free furniture banks in Oklahoma County. Or learn where to buy low cost but high quality, gently used goods from thrift stores. Locate a number of non-profit centers, charities, and distribution centers for free clothes, furniture or stuff operate across the city of OKC, the county and the entire region.

Several assistance programs and resources are offered by the locations. A focus is on children, senior citizens, pregnant mothers, students and people who need clothing for a job or educational reasons. Some of the centers will provide free Christmas gifts and birthday toys to children or back to school supplies during the fall. While more limited, the churches and/or clothing closets may have diapers or baby formula or furniture for a new home or apartment. Or they pass out free bedroom furniture, appliances, beds, kitchen goods in an emergency as well as household supplies.

In addition to those basic goods and free material items, many of the locations have case managers and volunteers on site who can refer people to financial and/or government assistance programs in Oklahoma County. There are even diaper and baby programs, and learn where to find free diapers. Those social services can be combined with the free clothes or furniture for struggling families. Some of the organizations may even offer some direct financial aid in a crisis.

Salvation Army Stores in Oklahoma County
This Christian church helps the poor and low income as well as provides emergency assistance. Programs include free back to school supplies, backpacks, and shoes along with food or financial aid.
