Several food banks, churches, and pantries in Newark as well as Essex County New Jersey can provide free food, groceries, and assistance to individuals or families. The centers will do their best to not turn a family away. Most of the free, emergency food pantries near you will help anyone in need, regardless of their income, age or backgrounds. Some of the pantries and churches will also serve meals as well as distribute food. Get produce, frozen food, vegetables, breads, and anything else that may be needed.
