Nevada County California free food pantries.

Several food pantries feed the community in Nevada County. Whether a family is low income or struggling, they can get help from one or more of the assistance programs that are available at a regional food bank. Or residents, including the homebound, can drop in a soup kitchen or request a Meals on Wheels service.
The main free food pantries to contact in an emergency are below. Each of them has their own application process, resources available, as well as hours. It is recommended that any applicant to a Nevada County food bank call in advance for hours. What may be provided at the locations includes:

-Canned or fresh groceries.
-Personal hygiene products, detergent, or household supplies.
-Easter baskets, Thanksgiving or Christmas meals, or small toys.
-Some food pantries also operate clothing bank and/or thrift stores.

Cooking Compromised Food Bags with canned goods are offered. There are also general groceries items up to 6 times per year. They help feed low income families, single moms, and children.
