Find food pantries in Dayton and Montgomery County Ohio will help low income families or households in a crisis. The centers distribute emergency food boxes, groceries, meals, and other items in the community. Additional services provided include information on government resources, including food stamps and EBT cards. Many resources are offered. They may offer free meals, pass out perishable items, and food. Pantries are typically funded by donations and/or government surplus USDA items. So funding and resources are limited, and the amount of support they will provide often times by limited to a maximum amount per month or year. Most food banks are also open only at certain times of the day, but many are open today. So it is always a good idea to call in advance for the hours of the center and if any conditions need to be met by the client.
