Montgomery County Maryland free clothing closets and thrift stores.

Families in the Montgomery County region have several non-profit clothing closets and thrift stores that they can turn to for assistance. Depending on factors including your need or income, some clients may qualify for free clothes, diapers, winter boots, or other supplies. The thrift stores sell items to anyone from the community, regardless of their income.

The centers rely on donations from the community, so please contribute if you can. The clothing closets need items such as coats, backpacks for school, work uniforms and school supplies. Some centers will even have goods like furniture or diapers for new moms. Whatever you donate will either be passed out to or sold to families and individuals across Montgomery County Maryland. If your income is low enough then some people may qualify for a voucher or gift certificate which can be used to pay for the goods.
