Active military personnel, veterans, and their immediate family members can get rent help and eviction prevention. There are also free motel vouchers for vets in Monterey County.

Housing Resorce Center and Advocacy of Monterey County

Among other housing and rental assistance programs offered is the security deposit guarantee program. This program provides guarantees to landlords that the low-income tenants security deposit will be paid during the first year of a lease agreement.
