Martin County and Stuart food pantries

A focus of the food pantries in Martin County is on ensuring that low income families have access to  inexpensive groceries or meals. The staff are also addressing the causes of hunger. Residents of the city of Stuart Florida and other towns can turn to these non-profits for assistance. The food banks are run by groups ranging from churches to charities and even government supported centers.

Distribution centers across the area will try to not turn anyone away from receiving some type of food. Sometimes they will offer their own goods, or in another cases a referral is given to another pantry in Martin County. They may also offer assistance such as Meals on Wheels, surplus USDA commodities, and free holiday meals and gifts.
