Struggling tenants or the homeless in Bibb and Houston County can get help with their housing needs, including grants to pay back rent, money for paying security deposits, access to a homeless shelter and more. Find the main charities, non-profits, and government agencies to apply at for rental assistance as well as other housing programs. They include the following.
- Grants or loans for all housing related bills, including rent, utilities, storage costs, moving, and more.
- Government programs ranging from public housing to homeless prevention and rapid rehousing or section 8 HUD vouchers for paying a portion of rent.
- Homeless shelters are offered for those without a place to live, victims of violence, and others.

The non-profit assists low income and struggling families in both counties. Financial aid, including loans, for paying rent, cooling bills, and more. They require proof of income. Any assistance, including for rental payments or HPRP, is combined with debt counseling, job programs, and more.
