Free holiday and Christmas programs in Lexington-Fayette area.

Assistance is available during Christmas and Thanksgiving in the greater Lexington-Fayette metropolitan area. Children from low income families may be given free toys or gifts to open for Christmas morning, senior citizens can have a hot holiday meal delivered to them, and entire households can apply for food as well as other presents from Adopt a Family or Toys for Tots. The primary programs and agencies available are below.

When someone is seeking a holiday food, sometimes the groceries are given to them in a basket and they need to prepare it on their own. The free Christmas toys given to children in the region of Lexington-Fayette will also vary, and can be bikes, dolls, games, gift certificates, or electronics. Some of the charities will also provide the child with clothing.

As donations allow, and for parents that are eligible, presents, gifts, and other items are available. The programs support the counties of Fayette, Clark, Madison, Jessamine, Woodford, Bourbon, and Scott.
