Free food pantries, soup kitchens and food banks in Lee County Florida.

The Lee County region of Florida has a number of food pantries that offer groceries, meals, perishable items, and other support. The primary focus of the non-profits is on offering free food to the needy. There are also soup kitchens and government benefits. Anyone from Fort Myers, Cape Coral, or the surrounding community can contact a food bank near them in Lee County for assistance, or find a toll free referral number at the bottom of the page for more locations.

Most centers have limited hours, and any assistance offered is usually only short term. However, some of the food pantries will also be able to provide clothing and items such as baby formula or household supplies as funding allows. Centers may also have staff on site that can direct low income clients to programs such as SNAP food stamps or other benefits. The best idea is to always call a food bank in advance to find their hours and to learn about any conditions that need to be met before applying for free food, clothing, or other assistance.

The leading churches, charities, and food bank agencies to call in the Lee County area for assistance are below. Some of them are also soup kitchens, so they can serve a meal, even around Thanksgiving or Christmas. Learn more about how to get free groceries, meals, and food.
