Applicants must meet the criteria set by the local organization. While each charity or church will have their own conditions, in general in order to receive a grant or loan for paying back rent, there will be income eligibility requirements. In addition, applicants from Kaufman County Texas need a current driver’s license, social security card, pay stubs, proof of identification, copy of all income (SSI disability, pensions, child support, etc.) and more.
Some of the organizations will provide housing programs, including funds for rent or utility bills, to immigrants in Kaufman County and others won’t. A waiting list is used. This is the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) subsidized apartment/home program. The government pays some of the rent for the property, and the low-income family contributes their income too.
