Hernando County free food pantries.

The Hernando County area is served by a couple dozen pantries. Whether the food distribution occurs at a church or another non-profit agency, there is help for families of all incomes and backgrounds. The staff will also provide information on how to shop more effectively on a limited budget and coordinate other hunger prevention services.

Volunteers from across the community, including across Hernando County, hold food drives. They also collect surplus items from local restaurants as well as grocery stores, ranging from Kroger to others. These goods will then passed out from the food pantry. The boxes may contain everything from non-perishable items to fruits, vegetables, and much more. Or, inquire at a location into holiday meals or resources such as clothing.
