Hands of Hope NW basic need assistance programs.

The main services available from Hands of Hope NW involve the distribution of medical supplies and equipment as well as free food. They also offer referrals and have a general mission to assist the unfortunate and disadvantaged members of the Canyon and Ada County community.

The non-profit relies on donations and contributions from the region. In fact, the equipment and medical supplies are donated from hospitals, local doctors and by individuals who no longer need them. These donations from generous members of the community will in fact ensure that individuals have access to any needed supplies.

For people who seek and want to apply for governmental benefits, such as Medicaid, SNAP food stamps, disability, or Medicare, the process can be very difficult and confusing. There are Family Support Specialists who will help clients apply for those benefits and others, like Medicaid, Housing, LIHEAP, or SNAP food stamps in Idaho.  In addition, a client’s designated Family Support Specialist will advocate for them to ensure benefits are received and maintained over time.
