Free holiday assistance in Greenville County South Carolina.

Several agencies offer free holiday assistance in the Greenville County region. However the two main options are free Christmas gifts from Toys for Tots as well as the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. Both of them assist thousands of low income families as well as children each and every year. Households, including immigrants and Spanish speaking, may be given free Christmas toys, food boxes, meals, presents and more. The assistance is offered around both Thanksgiving and Christmas. What may be offered includes, but is not limited to the following.

  • Children can be given toys, free gifts, books, clothes, games and more.
  • Low income families may be given free food at Easter, Thanksgiving, or Christmas, including turkey dinners.
  • Senior citizens, the disabled, or homebound in Greenville County South Carolina can have a hot or frozen holiday meal delivered to them.
  • The sick, people in a nursing home, the homeless, and other vulnerable can be given assistance too.

Most of the demand is for free Christmas toys though. There tends to be help for kids all the way from teenager down to infant. Big users of these holiday programs in Greenville include single parents (moms or dads) and the underemployed.
