A number of non-profit food pantries and distribution centers can help the low income and needy across Clayton County Georgia. However the exact services offered at each Clayton County pantry will vary. People should call in advice for a list of services and to learn how they can get help. Also find a phone number at the bottom of the page for other resources, including benefit programs, Meals on Wheels or grocery programs.

The organizations have even been known to provide one or more of the following from time to time. The low income may be able to access general, individual, marriage, and personal financial management counseling from social workers or case managers. Other services provided to the working poor in the community can include, in addition to a food pantry and clothing closet; job readiness and employment training; life skills, budgeting, and GED education, and a host of other services. They also tend to serve free Christmas and other holiday meals to those that can’t afford them on their own.

Many of the resources run by food banks in the Clayton area are free of charge. On the other hand, most of the thrift stores are also stocked with men, women, and children's clothing, furniture, and appliances. Those goods are often sold at a discounted cost.
