Free food banks, groceries and meals Pinal County.

Free food, groceries and hot meals can be obtained from Pinal County Arizona pantries near you, food banks, soup kitchens and charity organizations. A number of churches as well as charities also offer low-income families hot meals or groceries today. Find where to call for assistance, including information on government food programs, clothing, holiday meals, surplus USDA commodities such as cheese or milk, and other social services. As there are also free Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas food baskets in Pinal County. Or find a referral number at the bottom of the page.

Most of the assistance provided by the food pantries in Pinal County is non-monetary, so therefore it is not financial aid to pay bills or rent. Resources provided instead include hot meals, free food, perishable items, clothing, and personal hygiene type items. Immigrants and Spanish speakers can get help too. The support is short term in nature, but most of the centers can refer people to government programs or local non-profits in the region which can provide longer term cash assistance or applications to SNAP food stamps; however that is not their primary service.

If a food pantry does have money for paying bills, the funds available will be limited and are often combined with government commodities. The focus instead is always on preventing hunger in the community. Strict criteria will need to be met by all applicants. Call one or more of the food pantries in Pinal County below for help.
