Fayette, Tipton, Lauderdale County assistance programs.

TOPS - Tipton County - Provides assistance, including help paying rent and utilities to migrant or seasonal farm workers in the community. (901) 475-6865

Delta Human Resource Agency can provide utility bill assistance to residents of Tipton, Lauderdale, and Fayette counties Tennessee. This is the local community action agency for the region, and they administer many resources. Click here for more general information on a community action agency program. Other programs and services offered for low income can include housing assistance, information on Tennessee and federal government programs, free food, counseling, and much more.

When facing a crisis, DHRA and its case managers can help qualified working poor or senior residents apply for funds for paying their bills. Some of the options include crisis LIHEAP for utility bills, and there are also sources of low interest loans for housing or rent expenses. Other financial aid may be arranged in Tipton County as well.

The community action agency also administers several state and federal government programs, ranging from Head Start to referrals to SNAP food stamps. Or low income families can learn how to save money on energy bills from weatherization. Much more is administered by the non-profit. Moscow Food Pantry - This non-profit organization provides 3-4 day supply of groceries and/or free food based on the applicants total household income. Get food up to once per month. (901) 877-3185

First United Methodist Church - Covington - Bread of Life Food Pantry - Provides free food and groceries to the needy. Get food up to once per month. (901) 476-9694

Halls Mission - Provides the low to moderate income rent assistance, energy bill help, food, and information on government programs and local non-profits. Dial (731) 836-7079. Halls TN.

Crossroads Project, which is based in Ripley Tennessee, provides a free food pantry for the needy of Lauderdale County. Call (731) 221-1005.

 

 

 

 

Community Clinics - The following non-profit clinics may be able to provide you with low cost, or even free health and dental care. The services offered will depend on the patients income as well as other factors. You do not necessarily need to have health insurance. William B.
