Coweta and Fayette County rental assistance.
Find agencies that provide rent assistance to Fayette and Coweta County families in a crisis. Any type of support from these churches, charities, or government organizations is limited and comes with restrictions. In addition, the non-profits also tend to offer housing, security deposit or emergency rent help only to those low income families that are facing a short term emergency.
In addition to turning to government agencies for emergency rent help, the entire area is heavily supported by churches. These charities have very limited financial means to help struggling families. If a resident is qualified for rental assistance or other support from them, only small amounts of money will be paid out to them. The applicant will need to raise the balance of the funds to contribute themselves.
Other restrictions will be in place as well. Many Fayette County agencies will only assist on a security deposit or first months rent for an an approved, affordable home. In addition, if the charity does not receive an allotment of grants from the government, then the only assistance given to an applicant may be referrals to other rent programs in the area.
