One time emergency rental assistance may be provided to families in both Cleveland County as well as the Rutherford area. Most of the financial support from charities, churches or the government, including grants, used for paying rent or security deposits will focus on residents with an eviction notice. During the application process other solutions will be explored as well. Everything is targeted at addressing a housing crisis that may be faced by a struggling family.
There are various ways to get help with rent or homeless prevention in the region. Most of them were created with one goal in mind. That is to help low income families, including senior citizens and others such as veterans, to pay the rent to maintain their current home. It will also address other needs, ranging from credit counseling to employment.
In some cases, the best option is to help pay the security deposit or first months rent on new, affordable housing in Cleveland County. This will be emphasized even more so when the current home or apartment is just not feasible to live in.
