Students from grades K to 12 in Centre County can get free school backpacks, pens, pencils, highlighters, binders and more. The charity does this annually, with students able to get sneakers, backpacks, notebooks, and other free clothes or products for the school year.

Emergency assistance can help with bills, but they also offer case management which can help adults (or kids), get free supplies for school or educational resources. Verizon is passing out backpacks to students from the local schools, and the backpacks will be full of the stuff kids need.
