Some of the assistance is provided by non-profits and other aid is offered by the state of Florida or the federal government. The non-profit runs a transitional housing program for homeless adults. Shelter, cooling centers, and other support is available and was designed to move clients toward self-sufficiency. The Salvation Army may also have rent help, landlord/tenant mediation, and homeless prevention services.
Another Salvation Army program is known as the Plymouth Colony. It is for currently homeless families.
