Food banks, free groceries and pantries in Atlantic County

In an effort to prevent hunger, food banks across Atlantic County help low income families as well as people with no money that are facing a one time crisis. There are pantries as well as soup kitchen locations based at churches and local charity organizations. Get a free box of groceries, personal toiletries, meals and more from a food pantry near you in Atlantic County, as listed below.

Many of the distribution also partner with the state and county government on their food assistance programs, including SNAP and WIC. The resources available at a food pantry in southern New Jersey as well as Atlantic County are focused on struggling households. Locations may offer free bags of groceries, snacks for children, pet food, gluten free items, or hot meals to the homeless. Staff will also be able to help clients meet other needs, whether it is feminine products, applications to SNAP food stamps, provide USDA commodities, or more. So the pantries are wide ranging in what they do.

The types of goods as well as the hours of each pantry will vary widely. It is recommended that residents call a location before stopping by.
