Each of the food pantries in the Wilson County region, or neighboring areas, will only assist residents of that specific town or county. So assistance in the form of free groceries or maybe a holiday meal is offered, but will be limited to specific individuals. However, the staff at each non-profit food bank will often have referrals as well to other programs in the region.
One of the primary agencies for low income families are the regional Help Centers. These are located in most counties, including Trousdale, Wilson, and others. Based on what has been donated from the community, the centers may have everything from boxes of canned food items to clothing and applications to SNAP food stamps. Clients include the working poor as well as unemployed and elderly in the area.

Volunteers run a meals on Wheels Service for the homebound. Or they pass out food, offer home repair services, and other support.
