Whatcom County food pantries.

In an effort to prevent hunger, several free food bank and pantries operate in Whatcom County. Each center uses a combination of volunteers and partnerships with groups such as Feeding America in an effort to help struggling families. Not only may a free box of food be offered, but some centers offer financial aid for bills, Christmas meals and gifts, and applications to public aid such as SNAP.

While a resident can stop by a pantry below, another option is to contact a community action agency or social service office in Whatcom County. The staff at these locations will address the root cause of what is causing the family to face hunger. They will also refer the individual to a local food pantry where they can get groceries and other assistance.
