Find where free Christmas gifts or toys as well as holiday meals are provided to low income families in Racine and Waukesha County Wisconsin. There may be games, toys, clothes and more from Adopt a Family as well as Toys for Tots (among other programs). The goal of the charities, including Adopt a Family,  as well as churches is to help every deserving child so they can experience some form of holiday joy. Toys for Tots
This Christmas gift program is available from several charities, charities and non-profits. Children and infants from low income households may receive a new toy to open Christmas morning. Donations of clothing, games, bikes, shoes, and other items are provided to the less fortunate. There may be matchbox cars, Barbie dolls, sporting goods, Legos, winter jackets and other goods.

 

 

 

Racine County Toys for Tots
In the city/county of Racine, the Salvation Army also runs the holiday program. Parents can select items for their child. The goal is to ensure children in Racine County have toys. There is assistance for families living in poverty as well as the working poor. Availability of gifts as part of this Toys for Tots service depends on donations on registration.

Adopt a Family is run by this charity and its partner network of churches. Businesses, individuals, non-profits, and other groups provide assistance to needy families as well as the elderly.

Saint Vincent de Paul and its volunteers and member churches also help the less fortunate. They do this through a food pantry (for holiday groceries), Christmas toys, games, winter clothes, and more. Salvation Army Holiday Programs
The Salvation Army helps the poor, struggling, homeless, single mothers and others. They offers many assistance programs year round, including free Thanksgiving turkey dinners (with all the toppings) as well as Christmas help. Santa in a Shoebox
The agency collects donations from the community, including toys, gift cards, Xmas gifts or toys, food and more. They then provide that stuff to the working poor, homeless and less fortunate in Racine and Kenosha County as well as nearby areas. Those charities then give away the items to clients. Several churches help the poor, unemployed, elderly and others. Free food baskets, Christmas toys or gifts, financial help and more. There is also warm winter clothes, free holiday groceries or stocking stuffers and other help.

Free holiday meal sites

The charities below mostly offer food at Thanksgiving as well as Christmas. This ranges from a basket of groceries to a hot meal being served directly to clients. They will also try to deliver free food to the homebound during the holidays, but the service area will be limited. While not as common, some of the locations may provide very small gifts to kids or free stocking stuffers, but this would be more limited.
