Washington, Bolivar, Coahoma, and Sunflower County rental assistance.

Find help in central – western Mississippi with paying rent or accessing other housing assistance programs. Most of the financial aid in the counties of Coahoma, Washington, Bolivar, and Sunflower is available from non-profit agencies. They will refer low income applicants to everything from grants to pay rent to security deposit programs and low income housing.

The primary organizations in the region are below. They are mostly focused on residents of the county they operate in, however some will also offer referrals to other rental assistance resources in nearby towns. The reason that this is done in say Washington County is that the organizations all combine efforts to prevent evictions and further homelessness in the. So a number of housing and rent programs are administered for struggling as well as underemployed families.

In addition to below, local churches will partner with the Salvation Army in counties such as Coahoma as well as Washington Mississippi to arrange emergency funding or shelters. However, only small dollar amounts may be available to those who qualify.
